Porsha Stewart Snags NeNe Leakes Divorce Attorney + Kordell Stewart’s Worth Estimated At $16 Mill
Things are heating up in the reality TV world, as we sadly watch the divorce drama surrounding Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Porsha and Kordell Stewart. We’ve learned that Porsha has snagged Randall Kessler, the same attorney that helped NeNe Leakes with her divorce.
In an interview with CocoaFab, Randall shared a limited amount of details, one of which he alludes to the fact that Porsha may have the upper hand, because she was actually trying to make their marriage work.
The fact that it was taped and aired on TV speaks to her efforts. He explained:
“Typically there is a lot that happens but I can tell you that there will be a status conference where the parties get together and talk and the court helps direct them to work towards a resolution. I know Mr. Stewart’s attorney very well and I have worked with him in the past and we will work with him in this case to the extent that his client allows,” he added, noting that he has not filed with the court his official entry as her attorney as of this morning. He will officially be the attorney of record later today.”
He continued:
Given the fact that the last few months have played out in front of the cameras for the world to see, Mr. Kessler feels that his client may have the upper hand. Porsha was seen on the show seeking marital counseling, and trying to make her marriage work in a number of episodes. Without divulging his client’s strategy. The short answer is that evidence is evidence. If you’re on a security camera and we get it, or if you’re on reality television and that’s taped, that’s evidence as well.”
So the big point of contention is whether or not Porsha signed a preputial agreement.
On the show, you’ll recall that Porsha tells her Reality TV co-star, Kandi Burruss, that she did not and does not really believe in them. But conflicting reports suggest that she did sign one. Regardless, there are reports that Kordell is worth $16 million. If you’re a sports fan, you know that he made most of his money as a NFL player for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Bears and the Baltimore Ravens. Celebrity Net Worth reports that his biggest career contract was worth $27 million over five years. He retired in 2005 and has made some TV appearances like ‘Deal or No Deal’ and his current gig is a sports analyst, where he covers the post games for ESPN. Stay tuned as we cringe and watch.
Eagles QB Michael Vick Launches Clothing Line V7
*Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is launching a sports clothing line called V7 that will be sold exclusively at East Coast sporting goods chain Modell’s.
The line includes technical athletic clothing such as T-shirts, shorts and tank tops, according to the AP. Prices are $12.99 for the children’s line and $19.99 for adult apparel. Part of the proceeds will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Philadelphia.
It was developed in a licensing partnership with celebrity clothing-line mogul Ruby Azrak and former ICM talent agent Brian Sher, Modell’s confirmed.
Vick led the Philadelphia Eagles to a 10-6 record and an NFC East title in 2010, and was named NFL Comeback Player of the Year. He faced injuries and inconsistent performance in the 2011 season. The 2012 NFL season begins Sept. 5.
The line is the latest image-restoration move for Vick, who spent 18 months in federal prison after being convicted of bankrolling a dogfighting ring and was released in 2009. He is now among the highest-paid players in the NFL, and recently married longtime fiancee Kijafa Frink.
Vick has re-signed with Nike and added other endorsements for companies such as MusclePharm Corp.
Keri Hilson Hits Studio With Babyface
Keri Hilson may not be working with Mike Will as erroneously suggested, but the singer-songwriter is clocking up studio time with none other than Babyface.
The ‘Pretty Girl Rock’ songstress has teamed up with the R&B legend for her third studio album, which is slated for release later this year.
On collaborating with the 53-year-old, who has penned hits for the likes of Toni Braxton and TLC, Hilson beamed ”dreams come true” as she posted the snap above.

‘The Gossip Game’ Cast Kicks Off New Show With NYC Premiere [Photos]
Last week was, the premiere party for the upcoming reality series “The Gossip Game” at NYC’s XL Nightclub, in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen. The full crew, including Kim Osorio, Angela Yee, K. Foxx, JasFly, Sharon Carpenter, Ms. Drama and Vivian Billings were in attendance.
Also spotted was executive producer Mona Scott-Young along with Bun B, Dwight Freeney (NFL), Ebro Darden (Hot 97), Charlamagne tha God(Power 105), Mike Kyser, Yandy Smith and Jennifer Williams.
“The Gossip Game” is on Mondays at 9pm ET/PT on VH1.
Rick Ross Attempts To Explain Date Rape Lyrics, Calls Them a “Misinterpretation”
What’s worse than writing lyrics that normalize rape in a mediocre rap song? Trying to excuse them. Rick Ross ignited a firestorm when he rapped “Put a molly in her champagne, she ain’t even know it. I took her home and enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it” on his song with Rocko and Future, “You Don’t Even Know.” After he was bombarded with tweets lambasting the lyrics, he went on Q 93.3 radio station in New Orleans to offer this explanation:
I wanted to come down to the radio station. There is certain things you can’t tweet, you have to verbalize. I want to make sure this is clear, that woman is the most precious gift known to man, you understand? It was a misunderstanding with a lyric, a misinterpretation where the term rape wasn’t used. I would never use the term rape. As far as my camp, hip hop don’t condone that. The streets don’t condone that. Nobody condones that. So I wanted to reach out to all the queens that’s on my timeline, all the sexy ladies, the beautiful ladies that have been reaching out to me with the misunderstanding. We don’t condone rape and I’m not with that.
If Ross thinks we’re slow enough to believe his lyrics weren’t about date rape because he didn’t use the term “rape,” well…that’s an insult unto itself. What do you call the act of slipping a drug in an unsuspecting woman’s drink and then, “enjoying her” while she is unconscious if not rape?
Word games like this enable so many men to claim there’s a gray area for rape depending on the victim’s sobriety, attire, relationship with her attacker, sexual history and so on. It’s what propels people to put rape into categories like “legitimate rape” (ahem, Todd Akin). Rape is rape whether the attacker is a stranger hiding in the bushes or a rapper at a club slipping drugs into women’s drinks.
Rick Ross’ explanation is most likely the result of pressure from the label to mollify the situation after a radio station has announced they won’t play his music, petitions have been drafted and signed, and women and men everywhere are demanding rappers be more responsible when crafting lyrics.
It’s not enough for Ross to call women “precious” and “Queens” after suggesting that it’s okay for our precious, regal bodies to be used and exploited without our knowledge or consent. But if he is willing to genuinely apologize, he should start by taking responsibility for just how damaging and egregious his lyrics are instead of trying to sidestep the backlash by playing with semantics.

Actress Regina King has joined the cast of "Divorce: A Love Story", a new pilot for ABC.
As the fate of her TNT show "Southland" hangs in the balance, actress Regina King has signed on for "Divorce: A Love Story", a new pilot being shot for ABC. According to Deadline, the show centers on a recently divorced couple that can't seem to get their lives together without each other. Regina will play the "diva" wife of the male lead's best friend.
It's interesting to see how her real life might parallel the life of the show's female lead. Though reports say she's broken up with Malcolm Jamal Warner, her own tweets seem to stress that there is still a friendship between the two...without confirming their romantic status.

“Sesame Street” favorite Roscoe Orman, who appeared on the show as lovable dad Gordon, has left his longtime partner, Sharon Orman, “destitute” after he abandoned her for another woman, she exclusively claims to Page Six.
Roscoe, who for 30 years played father figure Gordon Robinson and still makes occasional appearances, is being accused of cheating on Sharon, with whom he has four children. In 2010, she says she found pictures on his phone of much younger Kimberley Lamarque, whom he wed in December 2012.
Since then, Sharon claims Roscoe has had no contact with his kids nor given money nor support to her — because while they were together for 40 years they never legally married.
“I want people to know he’s been living a double life,” Sharon told us. “I gave up my career to raise the kids and never cheated on him. I am the one who made him a ‘Sesame Street’ dad. This is what I get after 40 years? You can leave me now?”
While Gordon was a friend to neighbors including Big Bird and Elmo on the show, Sharon, 60, tells us she’s being evicted from the Montclair, NJ, townhouse they shared after Roscoe stopped paying the rent and lights, heat and water were turned off. She’s sleeping on a couch at one of her kids’ places.
Sharon, who even took Roscoe’s name, argues she’s entitled to spousal support, and has filed a complaint against Roscoe in New Jersey Superior Court. She states they were “living together as husband and wife for almost 40 years,” and she was named as his wife on mortgages, deeds and tax filings.
Sharon’s lawyer Charles P. Cohen told us: “For more than 39 years, Sharon served as a homemaker and mother, dedicating her life to Roscoe and their four children. She has no savings or financial security, and has now been left homeless and financially destitute as Mr. Orman has left her for a younger woman, without providing any means of support.”

Barbara Walters To Retire:
The veteran ABC newswoman, is expected to step down from both ABC News and her daily talk show, “The View” in May 2014.
In the weeks before she goes, the network is planning a huge sendoff, with several high profile primetime specials and retrospectives, a source close to the situation told the Daily News.
The source said the decision had nothing to do with Walters’ health — the 83-year-old recently recuperated from a case of chicken pox that sent her to the hospital for almost two weeks.
When the grand dame of TV news finally steps down next year, her pioneering career will have spanned more than 52 years.
Walters exit has been a bone of contention with her for sometime and she has insisted that she leave on her own terms.
As recently as two weeks ago, sources close to Walters told The News it was “not likely” she would leave.
It remains unclear if revealing the news will induce Walters to change her mind or stay on TV in a limited role, according to Deadline.com, which first reported her exit plan.
The Winner Of ‘The Face’ Season One Is Announced
The search for The Face has reached its climax — at least for this season.
Last night saw Devyn Abdullah beat out fellow finalists Margaux and Zi Lin to be crowned winner on the Naomi Campbell fronted show. The young stunner’s prize is to front the next major campaign for Ulta Beauty – one of the fastest growing cosmetics line sin the world.
An entertaining blend of dresses and drama, The Face has, in its first season, proven itself a worthwhile watch. Whether it’s winner will be able to do what winners on rival shows haven’t (see: become a major name in the world of modelling), will be super interesting to see. For now, though, we offer our congrats to the potential-filled Abdullah.

D.L. Hughley Says Dance Partner Relationship is Like Bobby & Whitney
*D.L. Hughley stunned the judges on of “Dancing with the Stars.” He impressed with a much-improved (his specialty) quick step with pro partner Cheryl Burke.
After the dance, he joked with co-host, Brooke Burke-Chavet about he and his partner’s spat during rehearsals saying the pair “were doing our Whitney (Houston) and Bobby (Brown) imitation for a little while.”
NBC’s The Clicker later asked if his reference to the former couple’s relationship was a planned comment or something he did in the moment, he reminded that he’s a comedian.
“Of course, it was spontaneous,” Hughley told The Clicker after taping. “Let’s be realistic — I’m a comedian. Even if I danced the quickstep to perfection, people aren’t ever going to watch me do it (outside of this show). They want me to try hard while I’m here.”
Besides that, his partner was certainly happy to see the improvement.
“D.L. did an amazing job,” Cheryl said. “You can’t even compare his performance from last week. He put so much time into rehearsals and he worked so hard.”

Jerry Buss Looks Outs For Girlfriend In Will
Jerry Buss — who owned the L.A. Lakers before he died — has given a girlfriend many decades younger than him an awesome parting gift — his Honolulu, Hawaii condo and his 2009 Bentley!
TMZ just obtained a copy of Jerry’s will, and he leaves just about everything to his family trust. The trustee is Jerry’s daughter, Jeanie Buss. According to the will, the estate is worth in excess of $5.5 million (although his assets obviously total way more than that).
Now … as for the young woman. Her name is Delia Cortez. She lives in Hawaii. She’s in her late 20s and was studying to become a vet.
Sources who were close to Jerry say she and Jerry had an “intimate relationship.” We also know Jerry had an eye for young ladies and got around.
As for the condo and the car, Jerry amended his will in March, 2012 to include the gifts to Delia.
