Kevin Hart EXPLAINS His DUI To "ANNEX" Magazine

Funnyman Kevin Hart covers the summer 2013 #NSFW issue of Annex Man Magazine. Deemed the "ALLAN Issue", the fashion-forward magazine features spreads on streetstyle blooger Prince Paleyo, knitwear designer extraordinaire Mark Fast, Chris Brown's new artist Sevyn Streeter, and actors Gilles Marini, Robbie Jones, Avan Jogia, and Jean-Luc Bilodeau. And in addition to articles on Sex in America and the "Art of the Sextape", the magazine got Kevin to open up about his wild ride through Hollywood...including his DUI!

In the accompanying pictorial shot by photographer Bradford Rogne and styled by creative director AllanTroy Watson, Kevin shares his thoughts on fame, success and fashion. Here are the highlights:

On His DUI:

Don't drink and drive! Don't text and drive! Don't talk and drive! Don't breathe and drive! Don't mix anything with driving. But on a serious note, plan your night and act responsibly. I learned a valuable lesson, it will never happen again.

On New film "Let Me Explain":

"Let Me Explain" is a step above...I constantly try to show growth while doing comedy, I feel like my fans appreciate that more. Let me explain is going to shock a lot of people.

On Being a dad:

I have to be uncompromising when it comes to my kids time with me. I have to be committed to my kids or else the industry will always have you away from your family.

On his underrated fashion sense and fashion week:

WHO YOU CALLING UNDERRATED? Is that a height joke? I'm a f***ing sex symbol! I would love to make it to fashion week to answer your question...when and where ever that is...

On reaching a precipice of success and if he'll ever leave stand up for the movie business:

First of all, I don't know what "precipice" means so I can only take it as a sign of disrespect. NEXT QUESTION...but seriously I will never stop doing stand up its my foundation.

On Whats Next:

Several movies. 2013 is the year of the movies for me. Starting with my concert movie "Let Me Explain" in theaters July 3rd. I plan to hit the road in 2014 with a brand new hour.

Keri Hilson Says Shes Not Pregnant But Is Taking A Leave of Absence

Wondering what the future holds for singer Keri Hilson? It looks like the private singer is going into seclusion-sorta/kinda. Over the weekend she announced to her fans on twitter that she’d be taking a leave of absence. Now, our ASSUMPTION is that she’s going to be taking a music break, but she also may be taking a break from the public. She explained:

Gotta say, #KeriKrew has bn so LOYAL!! Thank you! I’ve hidden so many details of my life from public view, so I know there’s confusion…But plz know that although you may not understand my leave of absence (yes it was my decision), I’ve cherished your love & support!! -keri …

And, rumors ran out of control, that she’s ‘breaking’ because she’s pregnant by her boyfriend, Serge Ibaka. But according to Keri, that SOOOOO is not the case. Monday afternoon, she clarified:

I get how you could THINK you found clues to that conclusion you conjured…but I’m NOT pregnant. Those “clues” are unrelated & exaggerated. Thought addressing that would help CLEAR some confusion but it created more o_O And you wonder why I choose to be quiet/private these days! I was simply showing appreciation 4 fans who stayed down during a hiatus that I never addressed. M’kay? Besides that… *runs to gym*

So, what’s the REAL reason she’s taking a leave of absence? Since it has nothing to do with her ovaries, we’re guessing that she wants to simply live life like a regular person? OH DAMN: Chris Brown To Possibly Be Charged In Frank Ocean Brawl

Chris Brown's past fight with Frank Ocean may be brought up during the singer's probation hearing

Chris Brown’s legal woes seem to continue as the R&B crooner may in fact face battery charges stemming from a parking lot brawl with fellow singer Frank Ocean, which took place at the top of the year. According to XXLMag.com, Brown went to court on (June 10) for a probation hearing, but it’s up to the judge to decide whether or not the January incident will be brought up.

Ironically, in early February, Ocean announced via a Tumblr post that he would not press charges against Brown.

"I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace,” the Channel Orange singer revealed.

It’s unclear what legal repercussions Brown could face if battery charges are filed. Unfortunately for the Virginia singer, Monday’s hearing comes just weeks after he was involved in a hit and run accident that’s currently being investigated.

Allen Iverson’s Ex Wants Him Jailed For Missed Child Support Payments

Former NBA player, Allen Iverson Owes $40k In Child Support, Ex-Wife Tawanna Iverson Wants Him Thrown in Jail.

According to TMZ, Tawanna and Allen are due in court this week for a progress update. While there, the mother would reportedly like the judge to not only order her ex-husband to pay the $40,000 debt he’s accrued but also be sent to jail for his reckless disregard for both the court order and his children’s wellbeing. Right now, the whole jail element to her request seems a little far-fetched, but it’s certainly not out of the question given he allegedly hasn’t put any effort into paying.

Allen and Tawanna are scheduled to be court this week. She’ll be demanding that Iverson come up with the funds and if not, Iverson may not be going home.

The Dream and His Asian Persuasian Expecting Twins?

So The Dream has more babies on the way according to friends over at Bossip. Apparently Terius has been trying to keep it on the low, because Christina has been trying to get more child support money out of him and Lydia Seung Nam is her name referrs to the twins as the “Nash Army”.  She’s been keeping a private instagram, which he knows nothing about… So much for keeping things private. That is probably why she has been MIA.. I mean jesus be a fence. He has also proposed to her also and he will do her the same way he’s done Nivea, and Christina…Once the babies are here.. It seems as if he loses interest and moves on to the next victim…  But overall this  woman is set for 18 years x 2. Didn’t his last album go double aluminium foil on the charts?  His plan to keep Christina from getting more money has been foiled.  I bet that “private” instagram account gets deleted.  On a serious note, ikt’s sad when that man will keep making children even after he has publicly acknowledged that he has no interest in being apart of their lives. Girl I feel for you….. Congrats…

Kobe Bryant Settles Lawsuit

Kobe Bryant has ended his legal war with his mother settling the lawsuit over his basketball memorabilia.

Kobe went after his mother for trying to auction off jerseys, rings, trophies and scores of other items. Pamela Bryant claimed her son gave her the stuff, but Kobe claimed she was full of it and she was just pissed because he wouldn’t buy her an expensive house in Vegas.

Now Pamela and Kobe’s dad agreed to issue a letter of apology to the Lakers‘ star, according to ESPN. In return Kobe agreed to let Pamela sell off just under 10% of the items.

So the legal issue is now resolved.

Ashanti Says She's Ready To Work With Ja Rule Again

Ashanti's upcoming album, "BraveHeart," to include appearances from French Montana, Meek Mill, and more.

Despite their past collaborative success with records that include “Mesmerize” and “Always On Time,” it’s been quite some time since Ja Rule and Long Island songstress Ashanti have collaborated on a record together. But according to Ashanti, that could soon change thanks to the rapper’s recent release from prison.

While speaking with Ebro and K Foxx of HOT 97, Ashanti shared the details of a recent phone conversation she had with Ja Rule. The singer revealed that he’s in “great spirits” and “super excited” about making new music. She also commented on their possibly being a collab with Ja Rule sometime in the future.

“Yes, I have. I spoke to him the other day and I’m super, super excited for him,” said Ashanti in a video posted on VladTV.com. “He is in great spirits…He has a studio downstairs in the house. That’s where he’s gonna be all the time. He’s super excited about the music…Hopefully, we get it all popping. It’s no denying our chemistry...I mean, he has to focus on his stuff right now. And I gotta focus on mine.”

Additionally, Ashanti offered a few details on her upcoming album, BraveHeart. The album will boast appearances from Meek Mill and French Montana as well as production from Cool & Dre, and will be released through her own label, Written Entertainment.

 “I collaborated with a lot of people,” the singer revealed. “I did some stuff with Cool & Dre. I did some stuff with Detail, he’s super dope, just recently. Meek, French…Me and Ja’s gonna Skype. That’s what I’ll do and I’ll play him some records.”

Ashanti’s BraveHeart album will be released on July 30.

New Parents Wiz Khalifa & Amber Rose Do Some Shopping In Beverly Hills

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa took some time away from Baby Bash to do some shopping at Tom Ford in Beverly Hills. 

Rocking a pink dress, pink shades and a black Chanel purse, Amber Rose trekked her post-baby bod over to Tom Ford with her fiancee' Wiz Khalifa yesterday afternoon.  And since Amber posted pics of herself trying on wedding dresses recently, could they be shopping for groom threads for Wiz?

The twosome hopped out Wiz's baby blue Porshe and hit up the store through the back entrance.

Amber recently told E! News about working with celeb trainer Jeanette Jenkins, ‘I have a really good personal trainer.  Her name is Jeanette Jenkins. Yeah, I work out every day.  It's hard to get off baby weight. It's a different kind of weight because for nine months you stretch your stomach out and then it's hard to get that back. I'm working on it. I lost like thirty-some pounds already.’

Judge Reprimands Ochocinco For Swatting His Lawyer On His Booty In Court, Orders Him 30 Days In Jail

Former NFL star Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson was sentenced Monday to 30 days in jail for a probation violation in a domestic violence case (with his ex-wife Evelyn Lozada) by a judge who angrily rejected a no-jail plea deal after Ocho playfully slapped his attorney on the backside in court. According to the Associated Press, Ochocinco had reached a deal with prosecutors calling for community service and counseling instead of jail. Broward County Circuit Judge Kathleen McHugh said she would tack on an additional three months’ probation because Johnson had failed to meet with his probation officer during three previous months. It was all set until Ocho, when asked by the judge if he was satisfied with his lawyer Adam Swickle, gave the attorney a light smack on his booty — as football players routinely do to each other on the field. The courtroom erupted in laughter and at that the judge said she wouldn’t accept the deal.

“I don’t know that you’re taking this whole thing seriously. I just saw you slap your attorney on the backside. Is there something funny about this? The whole courtroom was laughing. I’m not going to accept these plea negotiations. This isn’t a joke.”

Ocho then tried to apologize and insisted he meant no disrespect.

“This is your courtroom. I have no intent to make this a joke. It’s not funny. My life is in a shambles right now and I try my best to laugh and keep a smile on my face.”

Unfortunately, was not moved. Ocho then was handcuffed and hauled away to jail. Somehow or another, Ocho was on twitter an hour ago and tweeted the following message:

Love me through the good and the bad because I’m gone love you regardless… See you in 30…

Britain Welcomes First Black Baroness Amid Familial Race Row

The UK has welcomed its first black baroness, when the daughter of a Nigerian oil tycoon (Emma McQuiston) tied the knot with the future Marquess of Bath, Ceawlin Thynn- inheriting the tile of Baroness by way of his family’s hereditary power in the area.

Unfortunately, while well wishers descended on Wiltshire‘s Longleat House to celebrate the wedding, Thynn‘s family have come under fire when it emerged that they were against the wedding…on the grounds of Emma’s race.

Speaking to the publication Tatler, Emma revealed:

 “There’s class and then there’s the racial thing. It’s a jungle and I’m going through it and discovering things as I grow up. I’m not super-easily offended but it’s a problem when someone’s making you feel different or separate because of your race.

I have never had anything horrible said or happen, but it is something you sense. You can just tell with some people.”

So threatened by their relationship were his parents, that sources close to Thynn’s mother claim she urged for the wedding to be called off, one of which shared:

“She has asked her son to call it off. She seems to think Emma isn’t good enough for him. Emma’s a lovely girl and is understandably hurt by this, as is her family. But Ceawlin loves Emma and won’t be swayed.”

Quite interestingly, the last month saw Emma’s own mother weigh in on the matter-slamming her allegedly racist in laws for their treatment of their daughter. She told the ‘Mail on Sunday‘:

“They’ve both known Emma since she was three-and-a-half. She’s a wonderful, incredibly beautiful and sweet girl. I just can’t understand it.One thing I would say is that I don’t want people going on about.”

However, Lynn’s father cites his removal of erotic paintings in the family’s home as the reason for his absence at the wedding- claiming:

“It’s my life’s work and he’s quietly binned it.It’s killed my relationship with him and I don’t feel inclined to pay any interest in his wedding.” What a shame.

Graduation season is in full effect Phoenix Suns baller Shannon Brown watched his son Shannon Christopher Brown graduate recently.

Monica said Bam claims the baby as "his own" because the baby is expected to arrive on his birthday. She also joked that she had to explain why the baby is in her belly.

Rihanna Takes Over The BALMAIN Offices

Leave it to Rih Rih to take the fashion world by storm while chillin' in Paris in between her Diamonds World Tour shows.  After parlaying with designer Azzedine Alaia himself, she headed over to Balmain.  Since she's rocking plenty of Balmian fashion for her tour wardrobe, she just gave fans a peek into what went down when she visited the fashion house's offices.  And the looks she modeled are drool worthy.

About this sparkling yellow mini skirt and jacket, "fashion heaux" (as she called herself) Rih said:

'Fast and Furious' races past 'Hangover' at weekend box office

It's a blowout at the box office.
"Fast & Furious 6" is revving past "The Hangover Part III" in the No. 1 position at the Memorial Day weekend box office.
Universal Pictures' sixth installment of its muscle car franchise featuring Vin Diesel and Paul Walker debuted with $98.5 million domestically from Friday to Sunday, according to studio estimates Sunday.
Meanwhile, the final edition of the raunchy Warner Bros. comedy trilogy starring Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms opened with $42.1 million in the No. 2 spot.

Universal estimates that by the end of the four-day holiday weekend Monday, "Fast & Furious 6" will have pulled in $122.2 million domestically and $275.5 million worldwide. That would give it the second-biggest opening of the year behind "Iron Man 3."

Paramount Pictures' sci-fi sequel "Star Trek: Into Darkness" earned $38 million at No. 3 in its second weekend at the box office, while the Fox animated film "Epic" opened at No. 4 with $34.2 million.

Overall domestic receipts for the four-day Memorial Day weekend are expected to come in ahead of 2011's record-breaking $276 million.
Paul Dergarabedian, an analyst for box-office tracker Hollywood.com, estimated that four-day revenues this time will total $323 million, about 15 percent above Memorial Day weekend in 2011, when "The Hangover Part II" delivered a $103.4 million debut.

President Obama Visits Moore, Oklahoma To Tour Tornado Damage

MOORE, Okla., via (Reuters) - Standing by a pile of debris that once was an elementary school, U.S. President Barack Obama on Sunday called the destruction last week's tornado wrought in Moore, Oklahoma, "hard to comprehend" and vowed to provide long-term federal help in rebuilding.

The tornado, rated at the top of a five-step scale used to measure the destructive power of twisters, killed 24 people - including seven children at the school site Obama visited. It ripped a 17-mile-long (27-km-long) corridor of destruction through the suburb of Oklahoma City, flattening entire blocks of homes, two schools and a hospital.

"Obviously the damage here is pretty hard to comprehend," Obama said, standing on a block where piles of boards, bricks and cinder blocks that used to be buildings and houses lined the side of the street. Rare items that survived the disaster - a television set, a pink baby carriage - stood in contrast to the wreckage.

The visit to the disaster-shaken town was one in a series of responses Obama has made in recent months to tragedies including the Boston Marathon bombings last month; a December mass school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut; and the destruction that Superstorm Sandy caused along the Jersey Shore in October.

"Whenever I come to an area that has been devastated by some natural disaster like this, I want to make sure that everyone understands that I am speaking on behalf of the entire country," said Obama, flanked by officials including Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin. "Everywhere, fellow Americans are praying with you, they're thinking about you and they want to help. And I'm just a messenger here letting you know that you are not alone."

Cars with their bodies dented and windows smashed lay under debris or twisted on their sides. Rising above the wasteland were at least three American flags that had been attached to the rubble, waving in the wind.

Caleb Sloan, 24, who lost his home in the storm, said Obama's words gave him hope that help would be forthcoming.

"He has no choice but to live by his word," Sloan said. "I hope and pray and think he will keep his promises."

SPATE OF STORMS

The May 20 Moore tornado was the most powerful of a spate of 76 twisters that touched down in 10 states from May 18 through 20, causing an estimated $2 billion to $5 billion in insured losses, according to disaster modeling company Eqecat.

The Moore tornado, the deadliest such windstorm to hit the United States in two years, also injured 377 people.

One volunteer who had been working on the response raised the commonly voiced complaint that the tight security surrounding a presidential visit can interfere with efforts to return to normal.

"It is fantastic he came, but his visit shut down everything," said Carol Hull, who has been working to feed and counsel victims. "We have no place to send people for food and aid while he is here because the roads and centers are shut down."

While assuring that residents of the 1,200 homes that the storm destroyed would receive extended federal help, Obama also urged lawmakers to maintain funding for the training and equipment that emergency responders rely on in the aftermath of disasters.

"I know everybody in Congress cares deeply about what's happening and know that resources will be forthcoming when it comes to rebuilding," Obama said. "But remember that it's also the ongoing training and equipment, making sure those things are in place. We can't shortchange that kind of ongoing disaster response, we can't just wait until the disaster happens. That's how, in part, we're able to save a lot of lives."

Jay-Z To Perform With Beyoncé at Chime for Change Concert?

It was announced that now Madonna, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Gordon and Sarah Brown, Jessica Chastain, Gloria Steinem, Freida Pinto, Aishwarya Raiand Abhishek Bachchan, Leymah Gbowee, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Mpho Tutu, Humaira Bachal and Zoe Saldana will all participate as presenters in ‘THE SOUND OF CHANGE LIVE’ concert event, presented by CHIME FOR CHANGE: on June 1, 2013.

The four-hour concert, which takes place at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday 1 June, The concert will start at 6.00pm and finish at 10:00pm and each artist will perform special sets with some exciting collaborations expected.

Bey who will perform a 45 minute special set, said: “I am really happy that so many amazing artists and presenters have come together to support CHIME FOR CHANGE on 1 June. Our goal is to have a great time together while we unite and strengthen the voices of girls and women around the world.”

Letoya Luckett Joins VH1′s “Single Ladies” Cast

When VH1′s Single Ladies returns for its new season, Letoya Luckett is one of the new cast members viewers will catch on the scene, as she’s landed a recurring role on the show.

The 32-year-old singer and actress will play Felicia Price, the icy founder and Senior Partner of Price Management, which happens to be one of the most influential music management companies in the world. Damien Wayans is also set to join the cast. The Second Generation Wayans star has been tapped to play David Berenger – a slick manager on Atlanta’s music scene.

They will join LisaRaye McCoy, Denise Vasi and Charity Shea when the new season premieres later this year.

Did RHOA’s Kenya Moore and Jay-Z have a romantic relationship?

Not quite. Recently, Kenya posted an older picture of her and Mr.Carter together. If you remember, Kenya portrayed Jay-Z’s love interest in the video for Jermaine Dupri’s 1998 hit, ‘Money Aint’ A Thang.’ Twittersphere blew up and rumors and began to swirl about the pair. Soledad O’Brien Working on ‘White In America’

Soledad O’Brien announced that she will be connecting with the Caucasian audience with her new documentary, “Whites in America.” O’Brien is known for her “Black in America” documentaries, which has criticisms amongst some white viewers. Recently, in a speech she gave to students at Harvard University’s Institute of Politics, she explained:

People would sometimes, when I give speeches, stand up and say, ‘You know, I think your black America documentaries [are] divisive. I think like, you know, listen, we shouldn’t think of ourselves as African-American. We’re Americans, and everybody should stop separating themselves out.’

The former anchor of CNN’s “Starting Point” addressed those interpretations as only coming from white people. She spoke about whites not wanting to discuss the controversial issue saying:

First of all, it’s only white people who ever said that — ‘if we could just see beyond race.’

She went on to say:

OK, white person, this is a conversation you clearly are uncomfortable with, and I have no problem seeing race, and I think we should talk about race.

In regard to her “Black in America” documentaries, the special correspondent for CNN believes that by having people talk about these issues, proves she is doing her job.

I remain infinitely proud of the honest conversations we have surrounding ‘Black in America.’ My comments on the importance of discussing who we are and where we come from are nothing new.

Controversy aside, O’Brien plans to continue working with CNN on documentaries and specials with her new production company Starfish Media Group.

ARRESTED: Rapper Chief Keef BUSTED For SMOKING WEED

Despite being 17-years-old, rapper Chief Keef has amassed a long list of fans and an extensive rap sheet to match. Earlier in the year, the rapper was was busted for violating parole (he loves guns) and he's also been to court a few times behind child-support support drama.

As if that wasn't enough to rap about, Chief Keef aka Keith Cozart was locked up in Atlanta for disorderly conduct (which was later revealed to be marijuana related), according to TMZ. Peep that mugshot where dude is CLEARLY high as usual.

Now with another arrest under his belt, he tweeted,

YOU'RE MAD? We can imagine how mad your daughter will be when she grows up witout a dad around purely because of your own choices. Just sayin'...

Rocsi Diaz Explains Why She FAINTED On The Billboard Music Awards Red Carpet!

She's back at work, but at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, Rocsi Diaz fainted on the red carpet! We talked to Rocsi about exactly what went down and how she's doing now...

"ET" correspondent Rocsi Diaz was at work on the red carpet of the Billboard Awards in Vegas. And in the middle of doing a celeb interview with Miley Cyrus, chaos suddenly went down. Literally.

Rocsi fainted and was laid out on the carpet. We're told EMT was called over to the scene to help her out, and tv correspondent Shaun Robinson (seen above in gold dress) also rushed to her side.

And it seems like the petite chick simply had a lot on her plate in the humid weather during a busy day.

Rocsi says:

“I’m really thankful for everyone that dropped everything to help me. Shaun Robinson actually left her position on the carpet to run to my side, thanks for being there, girl! I also apologize for cutting Miley’s interview short, she must have been so confused, but I didn’t want to faint on her!”

Rocsi's publicist also said in a statement:

“It was a scary, humbling and embarrassing moment and an important wake up call to take better care of myself while on the road”

We're told Rocsi was set on getting back up to finish out the interviews, and that she did. She's a trooper.
