Ciara SUED For BACKING OUT Of Gay Pride EVENT! And performs for MAIN LA PRIDE!

Singer Ciara was sued by an LA gay bar for backing out of a pride event.  Find out why CiCi's lawyer says the lawsuit is bogus "Body Party" singer Ciara was slapped with a lawsuit by "The Factory", a popular LA nightspot, that claims she backed out of one of their event's during L.A. Pride week.  Don't piss of the kids CiCi!

TMZ reported on the lawsuit, stating that the club claims Ciara signed a $10,000 deal to appear at the club on June 7 before taking the main stage at the 2013 L.A. Pride parade yesterday.  In the documents, the club says they didn't expect Ciara to perform, but she seemed amenable to making an "appearance". However, they claim Ciara unexpectedly pulled the plug on June 3, leaving the nightclub without a big star for their pre-gay parade bash. They're now suing her for breach of contract and they want back all the money the club spent to promote her appearance PLUS the cash they're expected to lose.  Bloop.

But Ciara's rep thinks the whole case is bogus and released a statement saying,

"Ciara's commitment to perform at L.A. Gay Pride on Saturday night prevented her from making such a Friday night appearance. Despite being notified early last week that Ciara could not appear, the Factory continued to market and promote Ciara's appearance."

"The reason for the continued marketing/promotion is unclear, as it is not known why the Factory would intend to continue to mislead the public, to cause damage to the L.A. Gay Pride festival and to attempt to portray Ciara in a negative light.”

Well we’ll see. But Over the weekend, dressed in an engine red leather pant suit, the Body Party singer headlined the LA Pride Festival.

Kerry Washington Covers Parade Mag & Talks Scandal Success

Scandal is my favorite, however, that we are helping Kerry Washington make history, just by watching. Kerry Washington is the first black woman in 40 years to carry a TV drama on a major network. Not only is she carrying it, but she’s number one.

The star of Django, Peeples, and Scandal sits down with Parade Magazine to discuss her acting success, in an interview dubbed The Game Changer:

I knew that in my lifetime I’d never seen it. But it didn’t compute to me that I’d be making history. I just fell in love with the character.

On her work on the controversial film Django Unchained:

I feel like I barely survived Django emotionally. The violence. Hearing the N-word every day. It cost me a lot psychologically, but it was worth it to tell that story.

On her recent work schedule:

I had two days between finishing Django and starting up again on Scandal. It was nuts. That first day back I had to walk across the Rose Garden in heels. I thought, ‘I don’t remember how to walk like Olivia Pope anymore. ‘ I’d been barefoot in the woods for months playing a slave.

On whether, as a member of the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, she is aware of President Obama’s view of the show:

I haven’t wanted to ask the president his opinion of the show. But I have lots of friends in the administration who love it. We make D.C. look sexy and exciting.

On her role in the new Tyler Perry-produced romantic comedy Peeples, and knowing when to lighten up:

I’m a goofy person. That’s how I ended up in Peeples. Tyler Perry saw me joking around…and said, ‘I had no idea you were this silly.

Mariah Carey’s ‘#Beautiful’ Video Receives Premiere Date / Singer Switches Management

Mariah Carey is making many a power play these days.

American Idol may be nearing its end, however the diva extreme is ensuring platform’s perks (see: millions of viewers) works for her.

For, according to new reports, not only will she be performing on the show’s finale, she will also unwrap the video for her hotly anticipated new single.

Showbiz 411 editor and close friend of Carey, Roger Friedman, confirms that the Miguel assisted cut will see its Joseph Kahn directed video unveiled on Idol next Wednesday (May 8th). This will follow the song’s radio premiere and iTunes release two days prior (Monday May 6th).

And while rumors run rampant about show bosses looking to oust her, the evidence is starting to paint an altogether different picture. For, it looks like Idol producers and the singer’s team have paired up to use the clip’s debut as a means to combat what will be a head-to-head duel with rival show The Voice – which will be airing an additional episode the same Wednesday (the NBC show usually airs on Mondays).

As the saying goes; anything can happen. However, for now, it appears ol’ Mimi is in the show’s good books.

In other Mariah news, Friedman also reports that she has quietly dissolved her management agreement with friend and fellow Idol judge Randy Jackson. The pair, who remain the closest of friends, blamed the busyness of both of their schedules for the parting.

Mother of two Mimi is now managed by mega-firm Red Light, who by the looks of things have done a stellar job thus far (see: GMA Summer Concert Series, Idol premiere/performances, and more). Look out for her as yet untiled LP sometime between June and July.

"R&B Divas" Host Dueling Premiere Parties!

Dueling "R&B Divas" premiere parties went down in Atlanta recently.  It was Team Newbies vs. Team Vets.  So it's already apparent how this season turned out.First up were the newbies (plus 1 vet, Syleena Johnson) at Harlem Nights.  The turnout was low since many people were at rival Nicci Gilbert's party at the Museum Bar.  But as more people began to file in, the premiere episode kicked off.

Latavia Roberson, who showed off her growing baby bump, made her way to Harlem Nights and posed it up with the show's star Syleena Johnson and 702's Meelah Johnson who's looking cute these days.

Newbie chicks LaTocha Scott & Angie Stone looked great as they popped up to celebrate their premiere episode.  Is it just us or does Angie just seem like she's already over this ish?

And speaking of Syleena, during the first episode, no time is wasted getting to the drama and the diva antics between her and Nicci Gilbert.  Hence, the separate parties.

Last season, Nicci did not introduce Syleena for her performance and Syleena is still upset about it. So now that all the ladies are trying to go on tour together, they can barely get together for a meeting because of all the egos and shade being thrown.  And Syleena even kicked Nicci out of her house.

LaTocha Scott's sister, and former Xcsape member, Tamika Scott is pregnant.  And she showed off that baby bump looking like she was about to pop.

Producer Phil Thornton came out to support the ladies too.  Syleena's looking great these days.

Ciara is back on the Billboard Top 40 barely with her latest single Body Party. When I first saw the video for Body Party, I knew Ciara was back!!! Turns out talking about her relationship with Future and her beef with Rihanna works in her favor. According to Singersroom, Ciara’s Body Party debuted at #35: Congrats!

The R&B songstress has landed a Top 40 single with “Body Party,” her first since 2009′s “Love Sex Magic” by way of Justin Timberlake and 2006′s “Like A Boy” as a solo artist. The lead single from her self-titled forthcoming fifth studio album debuted at #35 this week on the Billboard Hot 100.

SPEAKING OUT: Floyd Mayweather's EX-Josie Harris OPENS UP About BEING Assaulted & Their Dysfunctional RELATIONSHIP

Josie Harris, the woman whom Floyd Mayweather was convicted of assaulting in 2010, is speaking out about their dysfunctonal relationship and the 2010 incident that sent him to jail for three monthsIn a lengthy article published by Yahoo! Sports, Josie Harris breaks her silence about being assaulting by boxing champ Floyd Mayweather, the father of her three children. 

Josie said she's speaking out to combat reports from Floyd's camp that have claimed that he never inflicted physical harm on her and that their was no violence.  However, Josie provided a doctor's report, a handwritten statement from one of the couple's children and an a police report that present a different case. Josie also discussed Floyd's love of money and his gambling issue. Here are the highlights:

On Physical Abuse from the incident  -

“Did he beat me to a pulp?... No, but I had bruises on my body and contusions and [a] concussion because the hits were to the back of my head. I believe it was planned to do that because the bruises don't show."

On Floyd's “very risky” gambling -

“His ever-increasing fight purses have also been a means to facilitate his love for a bet, with former business partner Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson telling of $250,000 wagers on the halftime scores of NFL games,” Rodgers writes. “Harris has stories that even outrank that, like when she went to the M Casino to drop off a bag containing $700,000 in cash to settle one of Mayweather's bets.”

On Floyd's associates -

"He has told me people have stolen from him, his house was robbed and they thought it was an inside job," The people who are just leeching on; I didn't like that. It’s Confirmed: Usher Raymond to Play Sugar Ray Leonard In New Film!

Congrats to Usher Raymond! For months, there’s been speculation that the Grammy-winning singer would be playing  Sugar Ray Leonard in a new film. And this week, the rumors were confirmed. The 34-year-old singer is playing the legendary boxer in “Hands of Stone,” a new boxing film about the great brawler Roberto Duran. Usher is preparing to play Leonard — a fighter with fast hands, smooth feet and a wide smile — for more than a year and still needs to lose nearly 25 pounds before shooting begins in October.

The movie is based on Duran, a world champion in four weight divisions over a career that spanned five decades. Duran, whose nickname was “Hands of Stone,” rose from the slums of Panama to defeat an unbeaten Leonard in 1980 and claim the WBC welterweight title, only to lose the rematch several months later in the infamous “no mas” fight. Usher confirmed his excitement in playing the new role:

“You couldn’t find a more stylized boxer than Sugar Ray Leonard. He was an incredible motion guy, the way he moved around the ring, and I think my dancing will make it easier for me to pick up his moves. I’ve been working on familiarizing myself with the ring, sparring and just understanding how to move in the ring.”

Usher said the rivalry between Leonard and Duran was one of the most exciting and unforgettable in sports.

“It’s an incredible story to be told. The metaphor of determination and struggle is one we can all relate to. He had such incredible discipline, and he was flashy and classy at the same time. I want to be as passionate and dedicated in preparing for this role as he was every time he stepped into the ring.”

The cast also includes Robert De Niro as Duran’s Hall of Fame trainer, Ray Arcel. Edgar Ramirez, who was recently in “Zero Dark Thirty,” will play Duran.

With 9 Costume Changes, Tina Knowles Says Beyonce Changes In 40 Seconds Flat for Mrs. Carter Show!

Mama Tina Knowles, says very little these days. For the most part, we (fans, stans and critics) ocassionally see her in the background, maybe a funny pose or two backstage aware, but very lowkey. What we do know, is that from day one, in some form or fashion, she’s been involved in the creative process of Beyonce. In addition to running ‘House of Dereon’, Mama Tina is involved with Bey’s ‘Mrs. Carter Show‘. In a recent interview with Grazia Daily, she gave some insight on what actually goes on behind the scenes with the mega star’s wardrobe.

On inspiration for some of her wardrobe on the show:

‘Regal and royal was the theme of the wardrobe. We took a cue from the O2′s commercial which had a queen theme. For the very first scene, Ralph & Russo created these amazing stage outfits because we wanted something over the top and queen-like but modern. They nailed it with the white outfit.’

On Bey’s camp trying to find new designers:

‘It’s been great to work with some amazing designers. Beyonce’s worked with almost every brand and we try to discover new designers too. Ty Hunter and Raquel Smith are Beyonce’s stylists and they’re always in search for new designers to bring in.’

On how Beyonce has mastered quick costume changes and how the team accommodates the rapid speed pace:

‘Beyonce makes nine costume changes so you’re going to have little things that go wrong. You just have to think really quickly because you literally have 30 or 40 seconds to change so she’s become a master at it. The designer pieces are beautiful but the team here put in zippers and hidden openings. There are little secrets we can do and there’s lots of double-sided tape! We practice the quick changes as much as possible but often the outfits aren’t totally settled until the day of the concert. And it’s an ongoing process. Beyonce studies her performances on film and makes changes for two to three weeks during the tour so things can change at any time.’

This week, Singer Ciara stopped by BET’s 106 & Park to premiere the visuals for her newest single ‘Body Party.’ The clip was directed by Little X (Drake, Justin Beiber, 2 Chainz) and features current boyfriend Future as her leading man. In the video, Ciara dances and the pair engage in friendly and flirty banter. Later, she turns it up a notch and strip teases for her love interest.

New York Police Officer Snaps Kills Her Baby, Her Boyfriend and Herself

New York police officer kills her boyfriend, and her one year old son.  This is so tragic, a  murder suicide.

According to The Associated Press:

“A New York City police officer shot her boyfriend, turned the gun on her 1-year-old son and then shot herself in an apparent double murder-suicide at her home Monday morning, police said.

The bodies were discovered after her 19-year-old son heard an argument between the two adults, escaped out a window and called 911. By the time police arrived moments later, the three were dead.

The body of the boyfriend, believed to be about 33 years old, was found in the entry of the first-floor apartment on a quiet street in the Flatlands section of Brooklyn, said chief police spokesman Paul Browne. The bodies of the woman and her baby boy were found face up on the bed in her bedroom.

The officer and child were apparently shot in the chest. It’s not clear where the man was struck, or how many rounds were fired. The teenager, who is the officer’s son from a previous relationship, was uninjured.

It’s not clear what prompted the dispute. Police were still investigating.

Apparently T.I. is not the only one who can “bring ‘em out, bring ‘em out.” Syndicated radio morning show-host Tom Joyner and his Fantastic Voyage 2013, had an abundance of stars come out to set sail and partake in the festivities.

Is Sundy Carter The Worst Mother Ever?

Actress Sundy Carter, who appeared on Basketball Wives LA as the bff of Jackie Christie got into a nasty Twitter fight with her 16-year-old daughter over the weekend and posted a VERY inappropriate picture of her daughter online...

During the heated argument Sundy posted a picture of her teen daughter kissing her boyfriend's private parts then defended her actions to critics on Twitter.

Sundy later deleted the picture.

CATCHING UP WITH AMERIIE: Ameriie & Her Husbandger Lenny Nicholson On A Dinner Date

She's still embarking on a music career, we think, but she's been much more vocal on her Twitter about politics and social awareness lately.  Most recently, she spilled her thoughts on people with mixed heritage, like herself, using hyphenates to describe themselves:

I don't like term POC (Person of Color).The otherness is inherent in it. It's like saying 1person is simply a Person &the other is a POC......meanwhile we don't go around using term PWC (Person Without Color) bc what the heck is that anyway? Last I checked,everyone has coloring.

She explained:

Same reason I don't like hyphenates esp ___-American. I am not African-American. I am American & I am Black and Korean.  No Americans should be hyphenates bc really being an American already means your past descendants aren't originally from here.....so hyphenating Asian- African- Indian- Americans is redundant. I am just as American as any other so no thanks to the hyphenate.

JoJo Simmons Has Beef With Juelz Santana

JoJo Simmons got dissed by Juelz Santana on his record “Soft,” so Simmons responds with a diss track “Holy Water.” Juelz Santana’s track featured Rick Ross and Meek Mill, and on the track he states, ”Far as that dough goes? I’m Russell Simmons, you Jo Jo,” a line to which JoJo has taken offense.

JoJo Simmons released his own diss track called “Holy Water,” and states that the industry has “forgotten” about Juelz Santana.

“Now how you gonna mention my uncle Russell / Then disrespect his nephew / The industry forgot you / Fucker, you nothing special,” he raps. “These niggas hate to love you / Simmons will not let you / Compare your money to my money, boy that’s disrespectful.”

JoJo continues, “Why you have to call my name / Thought you retired / Boy, that little bit of fame you had / That shit had died / Tryna ride Ross’ dick to get a hit, you high / Sniffin’ lines in the studio, tryna come up with rhymes.”

Married To Medicine’s Mariah Huq Is Ashamed Of Fight With Cast Mate Toya, ‘The situation was eye opening.’

We are only three episodes into Bravo’s ‘Married To Medicine’ and we have seen a pool side brawl between cast mates Mariah Huq and Toya Bush-Harris. The two ladies were admittedly frenimes but all of that changed when Toya allegedly revealed private information about Mariah’s daughter Lauren, in an Atlanta beauty salon. What was supposed to be a joint celebration for cast mate Kari’s husband, Duncan and Mariah’s husband, Aydin went down hill pretty quickly. If you watched the most recent episode, you’re full aware of what went down. Immediately after the episode aired, Mariah took to her blog and wrote about the altercation.

I remember feeling so hurt, ashamed, and disappointed in myself “initially”after the fight. I felt as if I truly let myself, my family, and friends down. How does a grown educated business woman/mother/wife get into a tussle at a black-tie event? How did I allow a negative girl, with no morals, values, or boundaries bring me down to her level? Not sure what the politically correct answer is, but I know what my truth is. In that moment I was truly hurt and full of despair. Astonished by the lengths people will go to become more relevant. Children are off-limits, point blank, period.

From the moment Momma Lucy met Toya, she sensed that Toya had a deep disdain for me and so much envy in her veins, that she would do anything to elevate herself and diminish others. Well, hindsight is 20/20 and my mom was probably right the entire time. Now that I see things unfold on TV, It’s ever clear.  It was evident that she never really could fathom me, I just chose to believe otherwise. I thought Toya was misunderstood. I believed that I could help her be a better person and a stronger friend, wife, and mother, as others have done and continue to do for me.

This situation was an eye-opening experience for me. I hold myself to a much higher standard and truly hate that I set a poor example for my kids. I hope and pray it has been an equally valuable lesson in words, consequences and character for Toya as well.

Former Reggie Bush JUMPOFF January Gessert ARRESTED For Forged Checks

January Gessert, the woman whose claim to fame was allegedly sleeping with Reggie Bush in 2010 while he was still with Kim Kardashian, was arrested for trying to pass off phony checks.

According to TMZ :

January Gessert’s claim to fame was allegedly banging Reggie back in 2010, while he was still dating Kim K. The former blonde denied the home-wrecking allegations and even hired Gloria Allred to clear her name.

Things have only gone downhill … TMZ has learned a bank manager in Redondo Beach called cops on January in March, after she tried to get some loot with forged checks. She was arrested for a felony and is currently free on bail.

Sources close to January tell TMZ … she claims it was all a misunderstanding and she’s hired a lawyer to handle the situation. We’ll See!

Slaine Reacts To Boston Marathon Explosions, Reveals His Family Was Near

La Coka Nostra's Slaine reveals that his 4 year-old son and the boy's mother were in close proximity to the two afternoon explosions in Copley Square, near the finish line of The Boston Marathon.

It has been reported that less than two hours ago (2:45pm EST), two separate explosions were witnessed near the finish line at the 2013 Boston Marathon. Two people are already reported dead, along with 22 injuries, according to CNN, from the explosions near Copley Square.

Boston, Massachusetts emcee and actor Slaine took to Facebook to reveal how these explosions affected him personally, by way of threatening the health and safety of his family, who were on site.

The member of La Coka Nostra/Special Teamz wrote the following statement:

"It's been a shitty day personally for me, but was instantly put in perspective with this bomb that just went off at The Boston Marathon finish line. Some very dear people to me were in the area at the time of the explosion. My 4 year old son was down there watching his aunt finish the race with his mother. Thank God we just found out they are all ok. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those effected by this act of cowardice. I hope whoever did this is captured and dies a very slow painful death before they ever see any trial. Ill never understand people like this. Fuck this fucked up shithole we live in. May God Help us all."

The cause of the explosions are still being determined. No suspects have been announced.

Tyga: “I Never Got A Check From YMCMB”

Tyga is out and about promoting his latest album, Hotel California. During his interview with Breakfast Club while  Tyga discussed his  girlfriend, album sales, and his upcoming clothing line, Last Kings.  Tyga told the Breakfast Club that he’s never received a check  from YMCMB. While the breakfast club crew looked on in shock, Tyga shrugged it off.

According  to Tyga, he’s always seen himself as an independent artist and treats his hustle  in that manner. However he did receive a signing bonus from YMCMB, but all other monies  made, comes from Tyga’s personal efforts. He’s not salty about the situation at  all. Get the full interview here!

A $40 billion legal battle in LA might finally settle a question that has long baffled gossip columnists and fans alike: Who really fathered Michael Jackson’s children?

Sources within AEG — the concert promoter behind Jacko’s ill-fated “This Is It” tour and the entity being sued by Jackson’s mother and the three children for wrongful death — say that, despite the singer’s claims, only one of the kids is biologically his.

The company is prepared to uncover that only Blanket, 10, has the King of Pop’s DNA.

His older siblings, Prince, 16, and Paris, 15, had a different sperm donor, the sources say.

“There was a whole lot that Michael Jackson or his family wasn’t and isn’t being forthcoming about,” an AEG source said. “The drug use by Jackson, his use of alcohol, his relationship with his own family, and the identities of the children’s parents.”

Among the evidence AEG could present are sworn affidavits, including one from a mystery woman identified only as “Helena,” who could be Blanket’s mother.

Lawyers for the company also are prepared to present “irrefutable” proof that the Gloved One did not sire Prince and Paris, a source with direct knowledge of the case said. The company is poised to subpoena birth and other records.

Yvette Palazuelos, the presiding judge in the case, earlier this month declined AEG’s request to present evidence about paternity.

However, the company may be allowed to argue paternity issues later in a potential award phase in the case, which began with jury selection April 2 in LA Superior Court.

DMX Says Iyanla Made His Life Worse

On last Saturday night DMX appeared on the season premiere of Iyanla: Fix My Life.

Now that the show has aired DMX says Iyanla did the opposite of fix his life...

 DMX's spokesperson tells AllHipHop,

“DMX agreed to be a guest on ‘Iyanla: Fix My Life’ with the understanding that she would be helping his relationships with his 10 children. When he arrived for the taping, most of the content was focused on his struggles with drugs and poor parenting. Iyanla did not ‘fix’ DMX’s life just made his image worse, and does not have DMX’s personal written consent to use the footage.“
